Wine without shortcuts

Zlatý Roh symbol

The Zlatý Roh winery is rooted in Devín, where the original vineyards were left neglected and overgrown after 1989. In 2014 we cleared three hectares of old plantings and planted both new and old varieties. That is how Zlatý Roh began.

We have worked biodynamically since 2017. The winery was founded by Patrik Tkáč, and Filip Nagy is the head winemaker. For both of them, the craft of wine is what they live for.

The authentic taste of Devín

What does Devín taste like?

As little intervention as possible, minimal to zero added sulfur. Taste the pure Carpathian landscape at the confluence of the Danube and the Morava.

Aged only in natural materials. Oak barrels and traditional clay Qvevri give the wines rich depth and character.

Nature knows best
what to do. We simply
stay out of its way

We believe the best wines come about when nature is allowed to work at its own pace.

No chemical shortcuts, no needless intervention. Hand-picked grapes, spontaneous fermentation, and minimal sulfur.

Zlatý Roh has a rich history tied to the Slovak winemaking tradition. Our vineyards spread across the foothills of the Small Carpathians, where the climate is ideal for growing outstanding grapes.

Winemaker working in vineyard

Our work begins even before the vineyard. A personal approach to every bottle is the foundation of our natural winemaking philosophy. It gives us wines full of authenticity and character that reflect the beauty of the Devín terroir at its best.
