Cookies

Which cookies we use, why, and how you can turn them off, without legal jargon.

How We Work with Cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Some are essential, for example so your wine stays in the cart while you proceed to checkout. Others help us understand what is not working on the site.

We do not use cookies for third-party ad retargeting. If Zlatý Roh ads are not following you around the internet, it is because we simply do not do that.

The Three Categories of Cookies We Use

Essential

The site does not work without them. They remember your cart, login and language. They run automatically and cannot be refused.

Analytics

They anonymously help us see what works on the site. Without them we cannot see, for example, that the shop crashed during your payment, so we cannot fix it either.

Examples: _ga, _ga_*, _gid (Google Analytics 4, possibly Plausible, anonymous, without identifying a person).

Marketing

We do not use them yet. If we ever run advertising campaigns, we will ask for your consent first, and you will find the complete list here.

  • Open the details and choose category by category.

You can change your choice at any time by clicking the “Cookies” link in the site footer.

Cookies can also be turned off at the browser level. Guides straight from the makers:

Note: turning cookies off completely may break parts of the shop, especially the cart and login.
